Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is actually a variety of Lily. It was used in Ancient Egypt as an aphrodisiac for both men and women as well as a general remedy for all illness.
Blue lotus was historically used, to relieve pain, increase memory, increase circulation, promote sexual desire and create a feeling of euphoria and ecstasy.
The dried flowers can be smoked, drunk in a tea, or infused in wine.
When smoked by themselves or blended with other herbs to add flavor they will add a euphoric effect to your favorite smoking mixture.
When prepared as a tea, the flowers produce a thick, gold/clear liquid that reminds one of melted amber. The liquid is ever so slightly sweet and upon being consumed creates a warm, euphoric glow.
The effects of Blue Lotus may be enhanced if soaked in wine or another alcohol for 24-48 hours, which is the original Egyptian method of use. The flowers are then discarded and the wine or alcohol is consumed.
