A very light gold leaf when curing, it makes an excellent smoking tobacco. Grows to 5 ft. tall with a heavy yield.Needs a well drained, rich soil mix with full sun to partial shade. We use a soil mix consisting of 2 parts peat moss to 2 parts loam to 1 part sand or perlite.
The soil should be kept evenly moist for optimum growth.
Sow inside in trays 4-6 before last frost. Sow seeds on surface of soil, keep soil moist by misting. Be careful not to wash seeds into the soil. Seeds require light for germination. Transplant outside when seedings are 4 to 6 inches tall. Germinates in 7 to 28 days.
